Excel 2007 Service Packs are not loaded

Excel 2007 Service Paks correct many of the bugs that were released in the original version of Excel 2007. Many of these fixes affect Excel's charting capabilities so you will want to ensure that you have them loaded. To date, Microsoft has released three service paks for Excel 2007.

To check your version and update to the latest service pak:

  1. Click on the Office Icon in the top left corner, then Excel Options, then Resources.
  2. The bottom line entitled "About Microsoft Excel 2007" will tell you which service pak you have loaded (should be SP3). To load the latest service paks or to check if you need updates, click on "Check for Updates" in the top line.
